Youth and technology, an effective combination to start changing the world. With this vision comes the new online community Connect2earth, http://www.connect2earth.org, created by two of the largest environmental organizations in the world, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), with the support of the telecommunications company Nokia. Connect2earth Internet is a space open to youth ages 13 to 35 who want to learn about the environment, discuss topics, share ideas and propose solutions from their daily lives. Connect2earth
users proposals may qualify to enter the site and vote each month to choose a winner who will win a Nokia mobile phone.
The winner, selected by a panel of renowned conservationist, will have the opportunity to present their ideas to political leaders, environmental and businesses around the world present at the next World Conservation Congress of IUCN, will be held in Barcelona in October.
